Our Founders

JD Lewis Jr.

Founder/CEO

As CEO of The Amasu Group, JD brings a myriad of experiences and fundamental life lessons, which allows him to understand and navigate the challenges of todays market place. His focus is on the success of our clients, communities, and partners.


From an early age JD has had an eye for business. From his first job as a paperboy to managing sales in the US and Canada for a global tire company, he has always worked with a core belief that you succeed when your team succeeds. 


JD holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and an Associates in Computer Engineering. He also has over 30 years in B2B and B2C sales leadership and account management, and over 15 years in the manufacturing and wholesale sectors.  


JD has worked domestically and internationally with companies including Michelin, Goodyear, and Magna Tyres USA to companies as well as single location owners. All received the same level of professional service no matter the size. 


JD is a proud US Navy veteran and qualified member of the United States Submarine Service. He served in 2 campaigns, Operation Desert Shield and Operations Dessert Storm. He served as divisional counselor and divisional trainer in addition to his other duties. He currently continues his acts of service as a mentor for amputees through Hanger Clinics peer to peer counseling program. He also serves at his local veterans administration. 


Elgin C. Carelock

Founder/CMO

Elgin Carelock is a distinguished professional with a wealth of experience and expertise accumulated over more than two decades in the business world. With over 20 years in retail management, Elgin has demonstrated exceptional prowess in overseeing retail operations, driving sales, and leading teams to surpass performance targets. His career is further marked by 15 years of success in business development and sales, where he has consistently spearheaded growth initiatives and expanded market presence for diverse organizations.


Elgin also brings 12 years of corporate marketing experience to his repertoire, having crafted and executed impactful marketing campaigns that significantly enhance brand visibility and customer engagement. His strategic vision is evident in his 12 years dedicated to business planning, scaling, and sustainability, guiding companies through complex market environments towards long-term success. Elgin holds a BS in Business Management and an MBA in Marketing, underscoring his solid educational foundation.


Specializing in leadership development, optimizing corporate cultures, and building strategic plans, Elgin excels in fostering environments where businesses thrive. 


His unique blend of hands-on management experience and strategic planning expertise makes him an invaluable asset for any organization aiming to achieve sustained growth and operational excellence.
